Obituary of Marilyn LaFlamme
Marilyn was a graduate of St. Scholastica Stanbrook Hall High School. On November 10, 1951 she married the love of her life, Roland LaFlamme. Together they raised five children in Duluth, where she was a home maker and secretary for the LaFLamme Agency Inc. until retirement.
She was known for her strong faith and dedication to others. She was very humble and enjoyed serving everyone. Marilyn was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and a very active member in Community Bible Study for over 35 years. She volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital, was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, and also knitted prayer shawls for cancer patients.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Roland and brother, Frank Borelli.
She was always putting her family first and will be greatly missed by her loving children, Steve (Barb) LaFlamme of Duluth, Kathy (Tim) McCarthy of Summit WI, Dave LaFlamme of Superior, Susan (Don) Sell of Duluth, and Linda (Jim) Blesener of Mahtomedi MN; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Carolyn) Borelli; sister, Jean (Joe) Lobe; sister-in-law, Betty Borelli; sister-in-law, Barbara (George) Skrbich.
Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army.
Visitation: 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 4230 St. Johns Ave, Duluth. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
