Obituary of Elaine Eleanor Augustad

Elaine married Leonard Augustad June 29, 1957 and together they raised their son Allen in Duluth. She enjoyed spending time reading, listening to music, gardening, and bird watching. Elaine was an exceptional person in the community and will be forever remembered as having a unique unconditional love for everyone she encountered. Elaine was very involved with the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and she was also a long-time member of Peace United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard. Elaine will be greatly missed by her son, Allen (Loree) Augustad of Yorkville, IL; grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Bryant of Elburn, IL, Brittnee (Joshua) Hopkins of Plantation, FL, and Everett (Rebecca) King of Peoria, IL; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. with Memorial Service to follow Monday, June 18, 2018 at Peace United Church of Christ 1111 N 11th Ave East, Duluth. Inurnment will be in Fort Snelling Cemetery.
