Obituary of Charlotte May Swanson

Charlotte was born October 31, 1949 to Herb and Dolly Swanson.She was a graduate of Hermantown High School, UMD and earned her master’s degree at UWS. She founded AMK Productions and was an award-winning producer, director, writer and photojournalist. She lived and taught for two years in Tokyo, Japan, co-founding C&C Language School. She worked for many years at the Hermantown Star newspaper and Moose Lake Star Gazette. She was currently the editor of the Minnesota Flyer magazine and enjoyed reporting on the aviation community. Faith, family and friends were of utmost importance to Charlotte. She reached out in kindness and love to all who encountered her. She will be remembered for her boundless energy, creativity, warm, inquisitive spirit and deep faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Nathan Hennessy and grandchildren David and Marita Falk. She is survived by her children, Amanda (John) Skaret, Matthew (Begonia) Falk, Kathryn (Roy) Kallberg and grandchildren, Anna, Jack, Adam and Julia Skaret, Heather (Chris) Miletich, Peter (Crystal) Kalligher, James and Nicole Strzelecki, and Jake, Wesley, Leo, Claire and Maxwell Kallberg; 10 great-grandchildren and siblings Jibber (Donna) Swanson, Debbie (Roger) Anderson, Sharon (Brad) Bennett, Daniel (Nancy) Swanson and Dave (Carol) Swanson and much loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
