Obituary of Antonia F. Panyan
Toni was born on January 12, 1917 to Frank Angela (Frankel) Auman. She was raised on the farm and received her education at the Gorman School. At a young age she moved to the Gary neighborhood of Duluth to do domestic housework and regularly sent money home to help her family during the depression. She was married to John A. Panyan in 1940 and lived in the Gary neighborhood most of her life. Toni was an active member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, the Slovenian Women's Union Branch #33 and more recently a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet, MN.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph in 1985; husband, John in 1997; and siblings, Frank, Victor, Angeline, Felix, Mary, Anne and Stephie.
Toni is survived by son, Eugene (Patricia) Panyan of Esko, MN; granddaughters, Cherie (Mike) Segal of Windham, ME, Terri (Jason) Sebens of Spooner, WI; great-grandchildren, Jacob & Sydney Segal; daughter-in-law, Gerry Bennett of Duluth, MN; sister-in-law, Bertha Panyan of Duluth, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11AM, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with visitation one hour prior at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 610 99th Avenue W, Duluth. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Superior, WI.
