Obituary of Leo Albert Smith
Leo graduated from Cromwell High School in 1949. After graduating he served for the United States Army during the Korean War in Okinawa from 1952-1954. He married Ingrid Royseth on July 15, 1952.
He worked as a cement finisher and was a 60 year member of the Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons International Association.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Ingrid; brother, Gerald Smith; sister, Myrna Knight; and granddaughter, Kari (Solem) Brewer.
He will be greatly missed by his two daughters, Barb (Jim Rickel) Solem of Culver and Connie (Mike) Labuda of Carlton; granddaughter, Rachel (Brent) Micken of Esko; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Aubrey, and Parker Micken; sisters, Yvonne Peterson and Peggy (Robert) DeCaigny; brother, Albert (Mary) Smith; and sister-in-law, Berty Smith.
Visitation: 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 noon funeral service Monday, April 2, 2018 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 3251 Midway Road, Duluth. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery at a later date.
