Obituary of Alice Botsford

She was a sweet lady, wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law. She set a wonderful example as to how to accept events in your life as life itself, and lived a wonderful fulfilling life with her late husband, David. She lost her mother at age 10 and had to assume the household duties of a mother at that young age. Later in life she worked many years as a housekeeper for the Alworth family in Duluth and made several trips with them to the Alworth estate in Florida. She had a warm, inviting personality but at the same time was the "rock" of her family. Alice spent the last few years of her life residing at Bayshore Nursing Home where she was loved by all who came in contact with her. God bless you, Alice. She was preceded in death by her husband, David and brother, Emil. Alice will be greatly missed by her daughter, Diane (Todd) Sletten of Duluth; son, David Botsford of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Sletten of Austin, TX and Erin Robison of Duluth; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kiana Robison. Visitation: 12:00 noon until the 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave., Duluth. Interment will be in Oneota Cemetery.
